Mission
The mission of East Holmes Fire & EMS shall be the preservation and protection of life and property from and during such fire and emergencies that may occur in the jurisdiction of the East Holmes Fire & EMS district and to lend assistance to neighboring departments when requested to do so.
2024 was a busy year where we provided service to 870 emergency calls dispatched to us.
- 252 Fire runs
- 618 EMS runs
We held our annual East Holmes Fire & EMS banquet at the Venue at Highpointe last evening Jan 10th. Despite the snow and road conditions we still had over 70 in attendance at last evenings event.
- 2024 Firefighter of the year was awarded to Duane Yoder
- 2024 EMT of the year was awarded to Joel Raber
Years of service pins awarded as follows
- 5 yrs - Adam Troyer
- 15 yrs - David Hostetler
Our roster is currently at 45 with the majority being cross trained.
31 with training in both fire & EMS. 7 with fire only training. 7 with EMS only training
